Sing for Pleasure Choirs’ Festival. This non-competitive festival, for adult and children’s choirs will take place in Farnham from 10.00 am till 6.30 pm. Choirs are invited to present a short programme of a maximum of 10 minutes music to the other choirs and our friendly adjudicators, who will select two or three items from each choir to be sung in the afternoon concert. We would like to invite you to participate in the The 4th International Sacred Music to be held in Bratislava on May 21st – 24th 2009. The Slovak capital Bratislava opens its gates and invites choirs to its charming centre in the sommer. We are inviting choirs from all over the world; your songs and performances will contribute to a truly sommer atmosphere in Bratislava. The festival will be managed by the Bratislava Music Agency, under the patronage of the city of Bratislava. International Choir Festival Berlin 2009 The City of Berlin together with EvenTTours from The Netherlands and Musiktours from Germany organizes the International Choral Festival Berlin 2009 which takes place every year. The whole trip can be organized by EvenTTours or Musiktours. Travel dates: 17/18 – 21 June 2009. The festival will take place in the Kammermusiksaal of the world famous PhiIharmonie of Berlin on Saturday, the 20th of June. The 4th “A Voyage of Songs” International Choral Competition which will be held from 4 – 8 July 2009 at the beautiful tropical island of Penang, Malaysia and you are cordially invited to take part in the premier choral competition in Asia. AVOS choral competition series started in 2003 Genting Highland, Malaysia as the first of such event in Asia. Over the years it has attracted more than 5000 singers from all over the world to come together to share their music experiences and cultural traditions. The Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival Vienna – Musikverein takes place over 4 days and is open to all nationalities below 26 years old – with minor exceptions (see terms and conditions online). Participation fee between 85 an 115 Euro per participant (depending on time of registration) In 2008, the four-day Summa Cum Laude Festival was under the patronage of Nikolaus Harnoncourt and the Austrian Federal President. Startin in 2008, performing groups may elect to compete with their peers in the prestigious “SCL Competition” or they may opt to participate in the non-competitive “SCL Celebration.” Ultimately, all groups will perform in the Musikverein in Vienna, one of the world’s finest concert halls, certain to be a highlight for the international participants and audience alike.

The 8th Golden Gate International Choral Festival for Children’s and Youth Choirs will be held in the San Francisco Bay area from July 13-19, 2009. Top American and international choirs will once again gather for an unforgettable week of rehearsals, public performances, friendly competition, and cultural exchange. The Festival will be presented under the artistic direction of Robert Geary, Artistic Director of the Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir (formerly the Piedmont Choirs), the San Francisco Choral Society, and Volti. The massed choirs will be conducted by lead clinician Bob Chilcott, and renowned Finnish choir VOX AUREA, under the direction of composer/conductor Pekka Kostiainen, will be featured as special guest artists. The New Zealand Schools Choral Festival is an annual international high school choral festival and competition . We welcome mixed voice choirs, treble voice choirs … (our high school choirs are aged 11-18). The week long festival not only offers the chance to sing down-under but also gives choristers the opportunity to experience life down-under. The 2nd  European Festival of Teachers’ Choirs will be held on 1st – 4th  October 2009.  Since 1993 country-wide Reviews of Polish Teachers’ Choirs have been held in Ostrów Wielkopolski every other year. Each time from 10 to 15 choirs from all over Poland participate in this festival. In 2006 we organized the 1st European Festival of Teachers’ Choirs in Ostrów Wielkopolski, in which 8 choirs from Latvia, Moldova, Germany and Poland participated. The event gives an opportunity for the community of teachers’ choirs to become integrated, to share their experiences and make their acquaintances. In 2009 we plan to invite teachers’ choirs from all the European countries to Ostrów Wielkopolski for the second time in order to present their vocal abilities, share their experiences and first of all to make music together.
